OK so it is 2:00am and I can not sleep! Why you ask? well I took some Excedrin and it has caffeine in it so now I can't sleep. I took the Excedrin because my butt hurts.
I am sorry to be writing a post that is complaining but I am super frustrated and I just need to vent, so please feel free so skip if you want.
Ever since I got pregnant with Linus I have had problems with my sciatic nerve. It not only causes pain in my butt but the pain radiates up my back, in my hips and down my leg and wraps around my knee. This makes it hard for me to run, in fact it makes it impossible.
I ran a whole 2 miles on Saturday and have been in terrible pain just from the damn nerve. Ya a whole whopping 2 miles and I had to stop and stretch like 5 times. I am used to running a 6 miles at a time, but now I was lucky to get 2 in and even then I had to stop and walk because of the pain and it was only going to make it worse.
I had "Dr. Fix it" give me a cortisone shot and then he showed me all these special stretches and stuff but NOTHING is working. I am super frustrated and starting to feel like I will never run again. My mom even mentioned that ( I know super uplifting huh?).
This is really depressing to me because running has sort have been my identity since I was young. It was what defined me and my family, as well as what kept me bonded to my dad. Now I just feel like if I don't have that I lose a big part of me and who I am. What else defines me? I am not really good at anything else, nor do I enjoy anything else as much as I do running.
I want to be able to do it now more than ever too. I need that break from kids. I always love getting outside and just running in nature and listening to music, it is some of my most favorite memories.
I have all these friends, and friends in my ward starting to run and they are doing races and talking about doing marathons and I am so jealous because that is what I had hoped to be doing at this point in my life. I just don't know what else to do.
Anyways I am sorry to my a downer and write a sappy "poor me" post I am just super frustrated.

Movie Monday from Hell-This is Spinal Tap!
WARNING TO ALL!!!! DO NOT READ/WATCH IF YOU GET OFFENDED EASILY. DO NOT LET YOUR MOTHER READ/WATCH THIS, OR YOUR DOG, ESPECIALLY YOUR KID!!!!So I have debated over posting this film ever since I started this whole movie Monday deal, but I have been fighting the urge every Monday and I just have to do it.
I do realize my mom reads this, my conservative brother and his wife, and my father in law so I hope you do not think of me differently after this.
OK back to the film. This is brought to you by Christopher Guest ( Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman) one of is earlier films coming out in 1984. Spinal Tab is a mocumentary of a rock bad named Spinal Tap. The reason this film is controversial here on my blog is because 1. it is rated R 2. It is R for good reasons and 3. You will laugh and then you might feel guilty for laughing. Anyways there is no nudity or sex scenes which is very good because that is a BIG NO NO in my book, however the problem is that the language is just down right filthy and I don't necessarily mean "F" bombs (although there are a couple) I just mean the band mates talk filthy and the lyrics are filthy, singing songs about "Big Bottoms" and what have you.
It is all meant to make fun of the 80's hair bands that really do sing dirty songs about that sort of thing in cryptic messages, but these guys just come out and say it. This is why it is so gosh darn funny and why I almost wet myself being very pregnant with Linus first seeing it.
So I highly recommend this one if you are going through a nervous breakdown for any reason, it is good medicine!
PLOT: In 1982 legendary British heavy metal band Spinal Tap attempt an American comeback tour accompanied by a fan who is also a film-maker. The resulting documentary, interspersed with powerful performances of Tap's pivotal music and profound lyrics, candidly follows a rock group heading towards crisis, culminating in the infamous affair of the eighteen-inch-high Stonehenge stage prop.
RATING: R like I said for good reason, the language.
STARS: 4 out of 5
ONE LINER: " But this one goes to eleven"

Funny 2 year old story!
So my sweet friend Nisha called me yesterday and wanted to know if Linus wanted to go with her and Sophie ( Linus' BFF) to the Dinosaur Museum and since Danny had Pneumonia and I had been up since 4:00am I was delighted. Anyways Nisha wrote this super funny story about their adventure on her blog! I hope you all get a good laugh out of it.
Today, Corinne and I took Sophie and Linus to the Dinosaur Museum. At the end of the exhibit is a fun sandbox where the kids can dig for dinosaur bones. Sophie and Linus were funny about the sand. Very unsure about the feeling of it on their feet, but after about 10 minutes, they decided to suck it up and have fun. They were darling playing together and having a good ol' time. Sorry Kelly, Sophie is to blame for that sand in Linus' hair. At least it only happened once!
So, some boy plops himself down right in front of Linus and Sophie. Linus tried to nudge him away, but the kid didn't budge. The kids are all moving the sand with little paintbrushes and yes with two year olds, it goes flying a little bit. So, Corinne and I were thinking how funny it would be if the little ones started scooping sand into said boy's pants. Oh, I guess I didn't mention that in everyone's viewing sight was about six inches of crack. Yes, major plumber butt. So, all of a sudden, Linus flings a good amount of sand into the boys pants and he flinches, sits straight up, but still does not move. Hello kid, you're sitting in front of two year olds, they are probably going to keep on scooping dirt on you. After about five minutes, the kid grabs Linus's brush and throws it across the sandbox. I go all MOM on him and explain that 2 year olds don't know better and he should move if he doesn't want to get sand scooped onto him.
End of story. Hope you got a good laugh too because I'm still laughing at the innocent mishaps of sweet little 2 year olds.
