Bjork concert!

So Danny took me to the Bjork concert in Las Vegas this weekend and everyone has been asking me how it was, so here is my report.
The concert was AMAZING!!!! I was LOVING it the whole time and it wasn't complete torture for Danny, he not being as big of a fan as myself.
Bjork puts on an amazing show! She has tons of energy and never misses a beat, she has INCREDIBLE vocals and sounds just as amazing live! It was crazy the music was so loud but her voice could still over power it. She really has a pure a unique voice and is a rare gem in the world of music, and that is why I love her so.
Many people think Bjork is Asian, however she is from ICELAND. She does not tour the U.S. often so I was so grateful to have the chance to get to see her on one of her few stops here, also she announced that it may be her last. So I just wanted to thank Danny for taking me, and Jim and Colleen for watching Linus last minute because my mom was suddenly unable. This meant the world to me! I was so happy to finally get to see my favorite artist, it was one of the more finer moments in my life and I will always remember it!

So I thought I would post these silly photos of me when I was a little girl, ain't I a cutie!!In the tub, I remember how I loved to put all the washcloths on my head and let the water drip down my face.
This was on my third birthday! Some silly smile.
Now this is what my family refers to as "The Look" apparently I would give this nasty scowl whenever I was feeling a bit peeved. It is funny to see that I may have passed "the look" on to my son.

My Dad!

Since it's Thanksgiving time I wanted to share some photos of my Dad and I. I also wanted to say how thankful I am for him and for what a good dad he was. I am also grateful for the plan of salvation and the gospel in my life, without it I would not have the knowledge of knowing I would see my dad again. I love you dad and I miss you!!! This is my dad's Olympic photo taken when he ran in the 1984 Olympic games! He is my hero!

Linus in the leaves!

So Linus and I were at grandma Harker's house and he wanted to go outside and play, so I took him outside. He was having so much fun rolling around in the leaves and picking them up and crunching them, and of course he had to taste them too. I had to get the camera out because he was being so silly and cute, I got these adorable photos of him so I just had to post them!Mama and baby Linus.
He was about to run away from me.

Halloween Cookies!

In my family every year we make it a tradition at Halloween time to make Halloween cookies!Here is Linus all ready to frost his cookies!
Linus was so cute, he was having so much fun dipping his spatula in the frosting and the eating it. He made a big mess and ate lost of cookies!

I was trying to help him, but he just got mad.
When we were all done I found this cookie in the mist of all the cookies. Someone had taken a tiny little bite out of it. I thought it was so funny. Linus must have bitten it and then put it back on the tray, that little stinker.

Halloween!

Danny was a silly looking nerdy guy! He looked so funny! I laughed at him every time I looked at him!

Here is all three of us on Halloween night! We took Linus to a couple houses, just for the experience but he didn't really get what was going on. We also saw a headless horseman running through the neighborhood, OK so he was not headless, just a guy on a horse running through the neighborhood, but it would have been a sweet story if he was headless!

LAGOON DAY!

Back in September Danny's work, JandCo had Lagoon Day! As you can see we all got to where matching t-shirts, yeah!!! We had fun, even though it started to rain. Danny and I also won i-tunes gift cards, so that was sweet! Linus had fun stuffing his face with all the food and flirting with all the other cute baby girls!

Danny's company had the first 'Jandies' awards. Danny won the awards for 'Best Team Player' and 'Best Facial Hair.' I think they are all envious of his awesome beard he can grow in a day!

There is not many things for us to do at Lagoon when you have a little one. Lagoon does have the good old carousel and Linus loved it! I was surprised because I thought he would be scared but he liked it!

So here it goes....

1. I knew I was going to marry Danny when he told me that 'Pee-Wee's Big Adventure' was also his favorite movie.

2. I love to eat PICKLES, but they have to be a specific kind, Nalley 'Tiny Dill banquet.'

3. 9 different people have told me that I look like 'Rachel Bilson' a.k.a 'Summer' on the O.C.

4. I can put my whole fist in my mouth.

5. When I was in High school I vandalized the drama clubs play 'Grease' signs and it was a huge ordeal and they got the cops involved, however they never knew it was me and my best friend. The best part is after the big ordeal and they tried to scare everyone with cops they put new 'Grease' signs out and told all the kids the cops would be watching them and my friend and I went back out and did it again!!! Classic!

6. I was in labor for 20 hours with Linus, and 12 before I had and epidural. Finally after the 20 hours they cut him out of me, but we are pretty convinced he busted my tail bone.

Pinback Show!

Danny and I went to see Pinback this weekend aside from the wicked awesome music, it was an interesting concert experience.
First off we got there at 8:00 and they did not come on until 10:00, so there we were standing around forever watching people getting plastered as most people do at concerts (which I still do not get). Finally the music starts and we get a sweet spot at the front of the stage, however these drunken idiots keep on moving in and out in between us and it was getting super annoying. One of those drunken idiots has this nasty frizzy 'hippie hair' and it keeps flying in MY MOUTH, SICK. Then some random girl comes up to me and says," oh your so short you need to be up front to see" and then she stands in FRONT of me!!! Can you believe it! I wanted to shove her, eventually she found her way into another persons way.
So then last but not least to top it all off some dumb girl drops her cup of beer down the back of me and Danny. By this point I was on edge and I think I freaked her out. Her friends said sorry for her drunken stupidity. Oh yeah, and on our way our a drunk girl offered Danny some free 'entertainment' he about died, good thing I did not see it or I might have set her strait. I started to think maybe I am getting to old for this, but NO I should not have to give up my love for seeing my favorite bands because of drunken fools, however I am more selective about who I choose to go see and where.
Sounds crazy right? Well I have had all sorts of weird things happen at concerts. Like at U2 it was suppose to be a 'no drinking' concert and some lady behind us strapped an I.V. to her stomach full of beer. I guess no matter what concert it is there is always some weirdo's there to put a damper on it. I guess they are not there for the same reason we who pay the good money to be there for and that is the MUSIC, we love the MUSIC, NOT THE BEER!

We are going to see BJORK!!!

I am so EXCITED!!!! Like I have said before those of you who know me well know that I LOVE Bjork! I have wanted to see her live for many many years now but she rarely comes to the U.S. and when she does it is to New York. So last night I found out she was coming to Las Vegas on December 15 and tickets went on sale today at 1:00pm. So Danny said he would take me!!! I went online right at 1:00 sharp and got our tickets, which was a good thing because there was only 5 left in the seating area we wanted. Crazy huh! I am jumping up and down right now!!! Danny is so sweet to take me, especially since he is not a huge fan like I am and I have to admit Bjork is a unique sound that only few of us lucky kids love. I just had to share my good news with everyone!

Do the ipod shuffle

So I got this idea from my brother and sister-in-law's page. What you do is put your itunes library, or music library on shuffle and then name the first ten songs that play. NO CHEATING! Even on those ones you might be ashamed to have. Okay so here goes mine:

1.' Sun in my Mouth' by Bjork- Those who know me well know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bjork! She is my all time favorite. My itunes Library has over 3500 songs and she manages to pop up first!

2.'Mushaboom' by Feist- I actually just got this album and this song is my favorite one on it!

3.'The Pretender' by The Foo Fighters- This song seriously does some good rocking in my world, like the kind you can jump on you bed too.

4. 'Offcell' by Pinback- Sweet band, one of my favorites! In fact Danny and I are going to see them live next weekend and I am so EXCITED!

5. 'Your New Aesthetic' by Jimmy Eat World- I like J.E.W. but I don't love them as much as you would think by my library, I have all their albums and b-sides and everything, but it is all by chance and I rarely listen to all of them, but I do love the occasional J.E.W. Rock out.

6. 'The Island' By Le Tigre- This song rocks my world! I love it! Le Tigre has some seriously good tunes. Not all of their tunes are good because of the nature of them, but the good ones are amazing!

7. 'Prickly Thorn, But Sweetly Worn' by The White Stripes- So one day back in 2003 I decided to go by a cd based on the cd cover. I saw this cd cover of a weird looking dude and a cool looking girl on it and the girl was crying, it was all in black, red, and white. I thought the picture on the cover was artistic and interesting so I bought it, never have hearing of the band before. Best cd I ever bought under those circumstances and have been a big fan ever since.

8. 'Brothers in a Hotel Bed' by Death cab for Cutie- One of my favorite bands and a very good song, not my favorite of theirs but a good one. I miss the days when I used to pay $7 for a Death Cab ticket.

9. 'Russians' by Sting- I have loved Sting since I was little, including this political song, that I did not understand until I grew up.

10. 'The only living boy in New York' by Simon and Garfunkel- This is one of my favorite songs, and I think it is their very best song!

I am actually very surprised I did not have any of the ones I would be ashamed of pop up. Like I said I have over 3500 songs in my library so you can imagine I must have some, but I guess you will never know....

Family photo & "Dwight"

I just realized we really don't have a family photo on our blog so here you go folks, we just took it at my brothers house last week! Linus had to have his monkey "Dwight" in the picture, he loves that thing, it goes everywhere with him.

Photo Booth

Linus and I were running some errands the other day and we had to go to K-mart, which I haven't been to in ages, anyways they still have a photo booth there. I was so excited! we had to take a ton a pictures, hey it's a dollar and they are so fun! They bright lights made Linus sport some silly faces, after like the fifth time around he got the hang of it. He could really be a baby model, but so was Lindsey Lohan and look how she turned out.

Legos are Fun!

Linus Loves to play with his Lego's. he even has to hold one while he eats. he also likes to put his goldfish crackers inside of them. he can play with these legos for hours.
He is getting so big! He is very close to walking, he can walk, but only if he "thinks" he is holding on to something.

Silly Linus!

Linus is so silly! He really likes to dance. When the music is hip hop he moves his whole body, but if it is rock he will just head bang. He is such a silly little baby!

SWIMMING LESSONS!!!

Linus and I took the mom and me swim lessons at our local rec. center this summer, along with his cousin Taylor. We had so much fun! Linus was not at all afraid of the water and he loved jumping in the water! he is our little water baby!

This is our family picture in 2005, Linus is in it he is just inside my belly. I think I was about 8 wks. in this picture. I like this family picture. Zero and Smeagol were are dogs but when linus came they were adopted, we still get to visit them sometimes.

Linus turned 1!!!

Linus finally made it to 1 yrs. old and he is trying to walk and talk. We had a Sesame Street birthday party for him and it was so much fun! Linus' mommy made him a Sesame Street cake and he loved eating it! Linus is such a joy and we could not imagine our life with out him.
