Tegan and Sara & DCFC!!!

Everyone who knows me, knows I am a HUGE music fan! When I discover a band that I love I usually pray for the day that they will come visit me in UT (or in the case of Bjork I had to travel to Vegas to see her, but well worth the trip). So it is with Tegan and Sara they are my favorite of the favorites right now and they are pretty much all I listen to these days, this was the case for me about 5 years ago with DCFC and of course I got to see them when the played at bricks ($7 might I add vs. the now $30 dollar show they are sporting). So getting to the point yesterday I hear on the radio that DCFC if coming to my hometown of Lehi, UT and the thought crosses my mind to possibly go but then I think, they were so much better back when we were paying dirt cheap to see them, so then the thought leaves my mind. I start to think I would be so EXCITED if Tegan and Sara came here though, I would pay some good money to see them. Later on in the day I find out Tegan and Sara are coming with DCFC!!!! You can imagine me freaking out!!!! I immediately went on line and got my tickets! So my super awesome sister has agreed to go with me, since Danny has seen DCFC like 5 times and is not as huge of a Tegan and Sara as I. Heidi and I have not been to a concert since Depeche Mode (Yes I said Depeche Mode, I was once HARDCORE on them too) in 2005 where we totally rocked it!!!!!

FUNNIEST PICTURES EVER!!!!!!

Most of you know that before our sweet little Linus came along Danny and I had two adorable pugs named Zero and Smeagol. They were my babies, I loved them so much! They were so silly and so sweet. While I was pregnant with Linus I was so sick and I was puking in the toilet and sweet little Smeagol came and put his little paw on my leg and cocked his head at me and whined, as if asking me if I was OK. We ever bread them, and that was fun too. Sadly when Linus came along the dogs and a baby didn't work. So Zero lives at my sister's now and Smeagol lives with a nice family who had bought one of his puppies and they send us pictures and bring him by to visit. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, giving them away, but I felt bad because they were being neglected and I wanted them to be in a home where they would be spoiled, and now they are! I am so grateful that they went to good homes! Anyways I was looking through some old photos of them and I thought you all might enjoy these super funny pictures of them.

This Zero driving the car, while Smeagol waits for his turn!Smeagol used to steal Linus' binki, we had to through away so many binki's. Finally we just let him have one and he would just run around the house with it in his mouth.

Strange request....

Hey everyone! We were just wondering for those of you who have our name on your blog if you could please not have our last name? For example: Kelly and Danny Harker. We would prefer if you just had: Kelly and Danny. The reason is I don't want to have to make our blog private and I DO NOT like the idea of having our blog searched for. I typed in our name and it came up on all of your blogs that are not private. So if you could please do this for us we would really appreciate it, and we will also return the favor! Thanks!

Sesame Street!

Yesterday Linus and I got to go to Sesame Street! Those of you who know Linus know that he LOVES Sesame Street, you might say he is OBSESSED. He will sit there the whole entire hour glued to the T.V. Anyways we went with Linus' play group to the Children's Museum in Salt Lake and right now they have a special Sesame Street exhibit that is here until May 4th. So I just had to take Linus, and he LOVED it! He was so excited he kept on looking at me and screaming, he was so adorable, it just made my whole month to see him so happy!

Linus and I on the steps of Sesame Street!Linus at the 'Mail it Shop.'
Linus playing in Ernie's bathroom, he loved this part!
Playing Count-Von-Count's Organ, the organ taught you about your organs. He played on here a good 10 minutes.
They had the cutest little room decorated like Elmo's World. Linus was going crazy!
Linus dressing Elmo.
Linus and I with Dorthy, Elmo's goldfish! Linus kept on pointing at Dorthy and saying,"ooh."
Here we are at 'Hooper's Store.'
Linus grocery shopping in Hooper's Store. It was so cute he could shop and then check out his groceries and then pay with play money, it was so darling!
Here we are in Hooper's Store, where Linus built a giant hamburger (a play one of course).
Here is where Linus could measure his feet next to Elmo's, Bert's, and AbbyCaddabby's. Linus' feet matched up with AbbyCaddabby's feet.
Where's Oscar?
We just had so much fun! We are going to have to go again before the exhibit is gone because Dad was not there and we want Dad to see how much fun Linus has there.

So here is the official celebrity look a like thing I did. I was only able to put 8 of the people it brought up out of the 10. So I really do not look like half these people, but I have to say Matt Damon does look like my long lost brother... It's funny even before I did this when Matt Damon first came out I had gotten that comment. Weird stuff! What do you think????

Look-alike meter.

So I used the look a like meter on myheritage.com to see who Linus looks more like and here is the results. I used a few different photos of Linus and on one it swayed more to my side saying he looked more like me at only 28%, however on all the other photos we used it was split down the middle.
