Linus got tagged

Linus has been tagged by his cute cousins.

5 things you did or didn't know about Linus:

1. He knows and recognizes all his letters. He calls the "etters" but he is always pointing out letters and saying them.

2. His favorite shape is a triangle, whenever he sees one he screams,"tiangle!"

3. He has 11 cousins, and he loves to play with them.

4. He loves to go shopping! He just likes sitting in his stroller and watching everything.

5. He is a techie, he loves computers and he also loves to turn on the T.V. The other day we had just got home and I ran upstairs for a second and when I came down he had turned on the T.V. and was watching Sponge bob. His new thing is, he turns on the T.V. and says,"Ta-Da!"

We were cleaning out a storage room and Linus found this old key board and made it his new toy. He kept on bringing it to me and saying,"check it out check it out!"

Kelly's Movie Monday!

I have decided that since Danny and I are HUGE movie buffs I would start "Movie Monday's." This is where I will share one of my favorite movies. So I will start with a favorite of Danny and I.

Pee-Wee's big adventure! Eccentric man-child Pee-Wee Herman embarks on the big adventure of his life across the US mainland, as he sets out to find his beloved bike, when it is stolen in broad daylight.
I am told that I had this film memorized at the age of 3 and mom had to hide it from me, see I was a Burton fan from the start! Later on when Danny and I were first dating he said that this was one of his favorite movies, at that moment I knew we were meant to be together. We watch this about once every 3 months or so.
This movie is packed with one liners and is so hysterical I don't know how anyone could not like it. Pee-Wee Herman (a.k.a. Paul Rubens) is such a classic character that every comedian should take some advice from this guy! This part in the film is so great! This was always my favorite part as a kid because Pee-Wee had such a cool house.
"DOTTY!" This is Dotty and she is in love with Pee-Wee, but he is so dumb he does not notice.
"Tell em' Large Marge sent ya" Possibly the most famous line in the film and when you see it you will know why.
"Boo ha ha"
I hope you will all check out this classic that brought two people together to make cute baby Linus'. Let me know what you think!

Cookie Cutters

You may find it hard to believe that my sweet shy Linus is VERY naughty when he gets his haircut (as you may have seen in previous posts). So I really avoid taking him since I have to hold him down and it seems to take the girl 10 minutes to cut his hair.
I saw this new place had opened in AF called "cookie cutters" and they only cut kids hair. So today we went there and it was so cute! The kids get to pick a cool car or aeroplane to sit in as well as pick out a show to watch. The best part is they are seat belted in so they can't jump out. They even have a little apot for little girls to get their nails painted.
I was so impressed. Linus still cried but it took the girl like 3 minutes to cut his hair, seriously and it looks good this time. He also got a balloon and a sucker after. Anyways I highly recommend it to those of you who have naughty kids at hair cutting time.

I didn't take my camera but I found these pics of the place.

October fun!

I love the fall time, it is my favorite! Here are some fun stuff we have been doing.
We went to the scarecrow festival and got in free on accident which was a good thing since Linus was not so much into it. I know he would have had more fun if his cousins were with him, he would have been more brave.
Then we painted little pumpkins! Linus loved this! He was so much fun! We are excited for Linus' cousin who is coming here for Halloween (which also happens to be her b-day) from AZ. We are going to have lots of fun so I will post those pics. after the big event.

Linus and I playing at the park on a nice fall day. Watch out for that big belly!

Here are all the pics. of us painting our pumpkins.

Here is our finished project! We are good.

The Gardens

Linus and I (along with his cousin Elijah and his two new twin friends Ava and Lola) went to the gardens this past week. We had so much fun. The weather was just perfect, a beautiful fall day (which just so happens to be my favorite season). Between the 3 moms I think we took around 400 pictures! So here is just a small handful of our little cuties!

Linus and Ava.Linus and mom, but by this point he was done with pictures.
Playing in the fountains. The kids all got wet.
Feeding the fish.
Looking at all the fish of Linus would say,"shishies"
Linus was sniffing all the roses.
Linus took a liking to Lola and kept following her all over. I thought this pic. was so cute.

Ava, Lola, Linus and Elijah looking at the water.

It's a...

BOY!!!

Sorry the first picture is upside down, but you get the idea. His profile!
We are super excited! I was hoping for a girl but I am not disappointed the least bit. It will be so much fun for Linus to have a brother! Everything looks good and he looks healthy and that is most important.

My Dad

Today September 17th is sort of a sad day for our family. My dad passed away unexpectedly 7 yrs. ago today.
I miss him very very much and wish so much that he could see my baby Linus. I am very grateful for having him as my dad and for the knowledge that I will see him again someday.
Here are some fun pictures and memories of my dad.

This picture was taken just 2 wks. before my dad passed away.Taken just days before he died at his birthday party.
One of the many magazines dad was in for his running. I am grateful that my dad past on his same love for running on to me. He never forced us to run but I loved it and always wanted to be just like him.
Here is the kids and dad on Easter in 1984.
Me and my dad in my favorite shirt he had.
My baptism day.

My dad was a very quiet man but if he had something to say he would say it and we all loved him for that.
I have great memories of him coaching me. Also a fond memory of going running with him and my brother one Christmas morning.
Just 2 days before he past he took me out and bought me a brand new guitar, just cause he wanted too, which stuff like that did not happen often. I will always cherish it.
The day before he past was a Sunday and he had just been called to the high counsel in a BYU stake. I went to see him speak in his ward and then I stayed with him for the rest of Sunday, it was just me and him. He wanted me to stay because he said he would be lonely, he tried to bribe me by saying he would drive the car home with the top down (I made him put it up though because it messed my hair). We had a nice drive home when he told me he was proud of me. later that night he was ordained a High Priest and in his blessing they kept saying,"the lord needs good men right now." We had no idea what he meant until the next day. He died 6 days after 9/11 and I really believe that is what was meant when they said,"the lord needs good men right now." He needed to be there for those many lost souls.
I could go on and on but this post is already too long.
